Patented blade transfer trailers by Kaitong Logistics.
Kaitong designs its own blade transfer trailers for mountain wind projects and holds more than 20 patents on blade transport equipment. Three of these patented trailers now work in our Philippine fleet.
- 2013
First generation
Mountain transfer trailer for blades of 108–131 rotor-class turbines; a gooseneck on the tooling cuts the blade sweep radius.
- 2016
Second generation
Trailers for blades of 141–164 rotor-class turbines; 8 sets (24 vehicles) built.
- 2021
Third generation
Trailers for blades of 164–205 rotor-class turbines; 10 sets (30 vehicles) built.
Design features
- Three-module design: flange lift module, rotary support module and multi-function trailer
- Hydraulic suspension lifts one side to compensate for road cross slope
- Detachable three-axle rear module shortens the trailer and tightens the turning radius
- Gooseneck recess lowers the loaded height by about 5 cm
- Long-distance version lifts the blade 6°, raising the tip to 13 m to clear signs and railings
- One vehicle, several uses: blades, tower sections and nacelles
